I am Petra Papp (2347), a Woman Grandmaster (WGM) from Hungary and a FIDE trainer. I am delighted to have been recognized as Coach of the Month for September 2022 on Chess.com.

I have won the Hungarian Women's Rapid Championship three times, in 2018, 2020, and 2021. Additionally, I have participated in the Chess Olympiads three times.

As a flexible coach, I strive to understand my students' preferences in chess, tailoring our work to fit their individual styles. I emphasize the importance of calculation, which is why we solve a lot of tactics together, and I often assign homework to reinforce our lessons.

Analyzing students' games is crucial to identify areas for improvement. Depending on the student's character, I suggest openings that suit them best, whether they prefer sidelines or mainlines.

My lessons are designed to be fun and engaging, leading to better results. I particularly enjoy working with students over an extended period, as I believe this is the best way for a coach to truly help them improve.
